PROVIDE CARE

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers provide one-on-one confidential support for people in transition or going through a difficult time. Extensive training is required for this two-year commitment.

Caring Ministry
Caregivers in this ministry provide their care receivers with support by calling, visiting, and writing cards during life challenges such as medical crises and loss, or to those living alone or in assisted living.

Neighbors Welcoming
Be the face of hospitality! Neighborhood leaders welcome those visitors and new members to the church who live in their vicinity. They offer encouragement and support.

My Handy Friend
A team of qualified volunteers provide free, safe, reliable repairs or assistance to members with limited ability due to physical or economic issues. Volunteers are reimbursed for the cost of any necessary supplies.

PREPARE FOR & LEAD WORSHIP

Chancel Guild
The Chancel Guild is made up of the following committees. Please click on the group title to contact the individual group’s leader.
Flower Committee
Volunteers adorn the Sanctuary and Great Hall in preparation for the Easter and Christmas seasons and occasionally for other events held at the church. No decorating experience required.
Worship Flowers
Each week, donors provide worship flowers to enhance our services, often in honor or memory of a loved one.
Wedding Committee
Members work with pastors, brides, grooms, and families in preparation for wedding services held at the church.
Funeral Committee
Members offer compassion and support for those grieving the loss of a loved one as they help them make arrangements. They prepare the worship and family gathering areas and assist the ministers and funeral home as needed in preparation for the service.
Funeral Hospitality
The Funeral Hospitality Committee provides a standard fare of light refreshments for families who request a reception after the service of a loved one.
Chancel Preparers
These volunteers prepare the chancel area of the Sanctuary and Great Hall for worship and other scheduled services. They change the colored paraments to align with the church calendar, fill candles with oil, make sure the baptismal font is clean and ready for use, and keep the pulpit space clean and orderly for the pastors.
Pew Preparers
Each week, these volunteers make sure that the pews, Bibles, hymnals, and friendship pads are clean and orderly in preparation for worship.
