CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Baptism

Children of church members are welcome to be baptized at FPC Marietta during Sunday worship by aspersion (sprinkling). Before the service, a pastor will meet with your family to discuss the meaning of baptism.

Adults interested in baptism are also encouraged to reach out to learn more.

Children’s Message

During each worship service, children are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a special Children’s Message. This brief, engaging time shares God’s love and Bible stories in a way that’s meaningful and easy for young children to understand.

Scripture Readers

Dedicated staff prepare children and youth to read scripture during worship. In preparation for worship, they will practice public speaking with a microphone, writing prayers, and the dramatic aspects of reading scripture.

Acolytes

Children and youth have the opportunity to serve as acolytes during worship, helping lead the congregation by lighting and extinguishing the candles. This meaningful role encourages active participation in worship while fostering faith, responsibility, and service.
