Adult volunteers pack at Sweetwater between 9-11:30 AM. Volunteers of high school age and older distribute food in our parking lot on Tuesday evenings between 5-7 PM. Opportunities to Serve
The need is not going away! If your work organization would like to organize a donation drive or would like a one-time volunteer experience, we would love to work with you.
If you would like to volunteer to pack (mornings) and distribute (late afternoons) food on Tuesdays, we welcome individuals, civic and private business groups, as well as high school students who need service hours.
If you would like to volunteer but are not available on Tuesdays, we can accommodate you. Currently, our volunteer needs include occasional item pick up that would require a pickup truck or a large SUV. Trips to Helping Mamas in Norcross happen once a month. Trips to Atlanta GLOW in Marietta are up to twice a month. We also have a time we call First Thursdays, when on the first Thursday of the month volunteers meet in the Pantry to take care of current needs, such as sorting food and packing family pantry boxes.
For program questions or inquiries about these opportunities, email Martie Moore here.
