Cassie Waits is passionate about nurturing scripturally grounded, practically equipped disciples so that God’s grace may flood their lives and pour into the world. She is fascinated by the intersection of faith and life and the potential for a congregation to be a meaningful voice (and force!) in the community.
Drawing upon ten years of business experience, Cassie brings a collaborative approach and a strong background in process management. Prior to FPC Marietta, Cassie served as the Stembler Fellow at FPC Atlanta where she focused on developing innovative models for theological education and discipleship.
Cassie and her husband, Brian, are blessed with two lively children and one cantankerous terrier. As a family, they are devoted fans of Georgia Tech and, to a lesser extent, American Ninja Warrior.
Cassie is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Emory University (Th.M.) and the winner of the 2017 Julia Abdullah award in Christian Education. Her writing has been featured by Point of View, Hope 4 CE, and the MDJ.
