ONGOING OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

Pantry on Church

Tuesdays

The Pantry on Church packs and distributes food in our community every Tuesday. Our partner is Sweetwater Mission in Austell. We serve 400 families each week.

Volunteers can choose to serve in the mornings, evenings, or both.

Club 3:30 is the longest continually running elementary after-school program in the state. It brings 30 students to the church every weekday to offer homework help and a host of other support services.

The Extension

Fourth Mondays

The Extension provides comprehensive addiction treatment services and life rehabilitation at two resident facilities – one for men and one for women. Volunteer to help cook, deliver and serve part of a meal at the Women’s Extension facility located near the Marietta Square.

FPC On Demand

Days/Times Vary

This program serves care facility residents, the homebound, and the imprisoned. In service to them, our program members find joy and fulfillment as we bring faith, hope, and love to those we encounter in four areas: Musical entertainment, jail ministry, Live-streaming assistance, and birthday ministry.

Refugee Assistance

Days/Times Vary

Volunteers share a day of worship, fellowship and hands-on service to the refugee community in Clarkston, GA. Volunteers may also collect/donate household items and clothing to assist refugee families in getting settled.

ANNUAL SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

MUST Summer Lunch

FPC has a long history of working with MUST Ministries to ensure that vulnerable children do not go hungry during the summer. Volunteers donate food, pack and deliver meal kits once a week to children who would normally receive free breakfast and lunch at school.

Winter Transportation

People experiencing homelessness face especially difficult challenges during extremely cold weather. When temperatures fall below freezing, FPC volunteers help these neighbors in need by providing transportation to emergency overflow shelters. Please consider joining us!

Habitat for Humanity

FPC and other Cobb County faith groups partner each year to fund and build a Habitat house. Volunteers are needed to help with construction and to provide food and beverages for the builders. You can also help recruit builders and collect funds prior to the build.

Rise Against Hunger

This fun and meaningful opportunity is great for the entire family! Rise Against Hunger provides food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable people. Volunteers are needed for event set-up and to package meals that provide emergency food assistance around the world.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Donating blood makes a big difference in the lives of others. FPC hosts two blood drives each year. Blood donors are needed, as well as volunteers to help with the drives on Sunday mornings.
