DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

The Director of Communications at First Presbyterian Church of Marietta (FPC) will lead all marketing and communications to clearly and compassionately share the church’s mission, vision, brand, and core values to both internal and external audiences. This role balances a focus on internal communications with a focus on external outreach. Internally, the director will deepen the congregation’s and visitors’ understanding of FPC’s mission, vision, core values and brand, and enhance engagement in worship, ministries, missions, volunteer opportunities, and giving. Externally, he or she will raise awareness of FPC’s mission and values as well as church programs serving the hungry, poor, unhoused, incarcerated, and other vulnerable populations, building partner and media relationships, and managing community-facing branding.

Serving as creative director and managing editor, the director supervises staff, volunteers, and contractors; produces accessible, theologically faithful content across print, web, email, Realm content, social media, video, and signage; as well as maintains quality control and brand consistency. The role also manages workflows, timelines, budgets, outreach metrics, and collaboration with the Communications Committee, other ministries, development and outreach committees, and church leadership.
