"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27
There is no doubt that the Hurricane season of 2006 was devastating to our southern, coastal neighbors. First Presbyterian Church of Marietta believes that great opportunity exists within the destruction that was visited upon the Louisiana and Mississippi region. Seeking to support and love our neighbors is the impetus behind what has become an ongoing ministry of service and support to Katrina victims. Check out FPC Hurricane Relief Team's progress on their blog.

Doing God's Work on the Gulf Coast-From Rubble to Faith
New Orleans
FPC Marietta Mission trips to New Orleans are organized by our own Mission trip Volunteer Coordinators.
We work in conjunction with the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans. Sleeping arrangements are within the church building.
Upon arrival, mission groups are involved in selecting worksites.
Volunteers are responsible for bringing our own tools and providing for their own meals.
