Spring Quarter Classes - Beginning April 2
Worship: What, Why and How (led by Sam Henderson) Room 49
Worship has been the focus of God's people through generations of time, but what is worship, why do we do it, and how do different people approach it? Is worship for us or for God? How can we make worship more meaningful? Join Head of Staff, Sam Henderson in this time of discussion and helpful insight.
Serious Answers to Hard Questions (led by Don Esa) Room 57
Associate Pastor Don Esa hosts this video series which features mainstream theologians tackling some tough theological issues including The God of the Old Testament, The Resurrection, The Sins of the Church, and The Gnostic Gospels. The video series encourages discussion and sustained reflection by both believers and seekers. Perspectives offered by the speakers will be insightful and enriching, but not necessarily the final word on each subject. Each week is independent; come for all or part of the series.
Lectio Divina (Led by Susan Kuebler) Room 050
Learn a simple and time-tested approach to prayer and "resting in God" through Scripture and the practice of lectio divina (holy reading). Open yourselves to a transformational encounter with the Holy Spirit. This session will be led by Susan Kuebler, a deacon at FPC. Susan has taught this method of prayer to others and is currently enrolled in the Spiritual Formation Program at Columbia Theological Seminary.
