Wednesday Night Dinner
(Operating mid August through May)
Because our weeks start on Sunday, we once refered to our mid-week (Wednesday Night)
gathering as Fourthnight, so you may hear this term often from our members. At First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday Night
programs are as diverse as our congregation.
The doors of Speed Hall are opened at 5:30 p.m. and our facility
is filled with people sharing an evening meal. Volunteers
help prepare and serve the meal, which consists of a hot buffet,
a separate children's menu and a salad bar. Depending on your
choices, the cost is $5 - $7 per adults and $2 for children
under 12.
A short time of announcements, singing and prayer follows
the dinner meal and then, if you like, an assortment of classes
are offered in various rooms throughout the church.
Our class schedule is broken into quarters and each new quarter
offers an opportunity to become involved. The programs are structured
so that you can choose a time and area of interest in which
to participate. In general, classes focus on Bible study,
personal growth, parenting, marriage and Christian doctrine.
In a coordinated program, children participate in age appropriate
Bible studies; the nursery is available throughout the evening.
Wednesday Night Dinner follows the area school calendars and operates
from mid August through May.
Hope to see you here for dinner!
