Nursery Policies & Procedures
Nursery Policies
- It is the goal of the nursery to maintain
a 2:1 ratio in the infant room and a 4:1 ratio
in the toddler (ages 18 months – 2 years)
room.
- Every room is staffed with at least one
employee that is CPR certified.
- The entire staff is trained in emergency
preparedness and child protection policies. These
polices are available for review in the Christian
Education office.
- The staff also receives regular briefings
on choking, shaken baby syndrome, first aid, sanitation
and diaper changing.
Nursery Guidelines
- Do not bring a sick child to the nursery.
Although we appreciate the value that regular
church attendance brings, we do not want to endanger
the health of the children in the nursery and
respectfully request that your child remain in
your care if he or she is feeling poorly.
- Any personal articles brought to the nursery
must be labeled with the child’s name. This
includes, but is not limited to, bottles, diaper
bags, pacifiers, changes of clothing, etc.
- Sign in your child at the drop-off door
and share any special instructions that may be
helpful to the care providers.
- In the interest of safety, we ask that
you do not send a sibling to collect your child
from the nursery. Only those adults who have signed
the Security
Information form will be allowed to remove
your child from our care.
- Take note of our nursery and Sunday
School hours posted at the Nursery Welcome Center
so you can pick-up and drop off your child within
15 minutes of each of the services.
