Sunday School

Each Sunday School class collects an offering each week. Sunday School offerings are designated by the Christian Education Council to support a different mission of the church each month.

Some Sunday School classes correspond with members of our congregation who are in active military service and also with PC(USA) missionaries that our congregation supports.

Heifer Project 2008

This is a church-wide project for families of all shapes and sizes. Each year, families pick up an ark bank and calendar and then spend the next four weeks filling the bank with coins while they learn about the animals and education that Heifer International provides to needy families around the world.

At the end of the four weeks, on Mission Focus Sunday, the ark banks are returned to the church and each family votes for the animal it would like FPC to donate to Heifer International.

In 2007 the cow received the most votes, followed closely by rabbits.  A total of $1368.51 was received, allowing us to give a cow, a trio of rabbits, a llama, a goat, a water buffalo, a sheep, two flocks of chickens and a pig.
