Kids' Summer Mission Camp 2008

The Theme Song: Mark 12:30-31”Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.”

Over 40 enthusiastic five to eleven year olds participated in mission activities led by nine energetic adult and teen leaders. We learned how we can show our all-encompassing love for God by loving our neighbor. We put our love for neighbor into action in three different ways this year. We collected books and prepared 250 lunches for the MUST Summer Lunch Program. We made prayer hugs and shared them with folks at the Marietta Senior Center. We also created inspirational cards and sidewalk drawings, assembled over 50 personal care kits and provided refreshments for patients at the Good Samaritan Health Center.
