PrimeTimers Lunch & A Matinee, July 10

Bring a friend and join us on Thursday, July 10 at 12:30 p.m. for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes (on Barrett Parkway) followed by travel to Regal Cinemas Town Center 16 Theatre for the 2:15 p.m. showing of Get Smart. The cost is $19.00 per person which includes the movie ticket and an all you-can-eat lunch and drink of your choice at Sweet Tomatoes. If you are interested in riding in the church van, please be in the Gathering Space at 12:00 p.m. Please RSVP to by Tuesday, July 8.

Food Drive for MUST Ministries at FPC during the month of June

FPC's Service Council is having a Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive throughout the month of June to benefit MUST Ministries. Please bring in jars of peanut butter and/or jelly and put them in the MUST donation barrel in the Gathering Space. MUST is in great need of food items for its pantry-help us help others!

Preschool employment available for the 08-09 school year

First Presbyterian Weekday Preschool is seeking experienced individuals to staff a new four year old Pre-K class for the 08-09 school year. We’re looking for the lead and assistant teachers who love children, have strong classroom management skills and who enjoy the challenges of helping children achieve to their greatest ability. We are reviving our Guest Ministry! We are looking for volunteers to greet visitors before each of our Sunday morning worship services. Do you have a gift for meeting new people? If so, this is a great opportunity to make people feel at home the moment they enter our church. Are you interested but wondering what to say? Calling All Knitters

New outbreaks of leprosy in Southeast Asia have led to new calls for knitted leprosy bandages to hold in place 4x4's with medication. Please follow these directions: use 100% cotton yarn either white or ecru; knit with #8 needles. Cast on 18 stitches and knit until 4 inches wide by 4 feet long. Wash and air dry. Roll into tight roll and pin with large safety pin. Drop into sandwich-sized zip seal bag. Return to Presbytery Office or to First Presbyterian, Dalton who will mail them. Thanks!

Monday Evening Women's Bible Study

FPC women, please join us for a fresh vision from God's word; A study of Paul's letters to the Philippians and Galatians. It's not too late to join. Women on the Run Bible Study continues on Thursdays

Trade in those heels for a pair of walking or running shoes with SOUL! Join the Women on the Run Bible Study continues on Thursdays in the Holland Hall basement. The Study begins at 9:15 a.m. with a special prayer time and at 9:30 a.m. we begin the Study: Bad Women of the Bible, followed by a walk or run together. Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study continues

Join in the fascinating study of The Amazing Collection, a 12-week study of the Minor Prophets, Hosea through Malachi. Meals on Wheels needs more drivers

Presbyterian Women has volunteered with "Meals On Wheels" in Marietta and Cobb County for 30 years. We need your help to continue this meaningful ministry. Drivers are needed every Wednesday and Friday for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours to deliver meals to people who need them. The meals are picked up at the the Senior Center on Fairground Street at 10:00 a.m. If you prefer not to drive, but would like to ride with a driver to assist in navigation or provide company, this is a great help as well. Drivers will cover the same route each time. Currently, each drive volunteers twice a quarter, but with more drivers it would be less often. Help with Prime Timer Luncheons

Volunteers are needed to help with the Prime Timer Luncheons. Volunteer to help serve the drinks, carry the Prime Timer's trays and clean up. The luncheons usually last from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. If you would be willing to volunteer, please contact (770) 427-0293 ext. 241.

Singles Focused on Christ to prepare and serve meals to Presbyterian Student Group at KSU

The FPC Singles Focused on Christ Ministry will be preparing and serving a home-cooked meal on the second Thursday of each month to the Presbyterian student group at KSU. If interested in participating by helping to prepare or serve the meal, please contact . We will meet at the Rec & Wellness Center at Kennesaw State University at 6:30 p.m. There will be approximately 15 college students and 1 campus minister to feed. This group meets for dinner and fellowship at 7:00 p.m. with worship at 8:00 p.m. on the KSU campus. Learn more about Singles Focused on Christ.

Service opportunity at Camp Cherokee

Do you have some time to spare? Are you handy with tools? Come help Camp Cherokee get fixed up. Volunteers are needed to do everything from painting to construction. Contact if interested.

Club 3:30 children need snacks

Every afternoon hungry children arrive on the bus for our after school ministry. Donations of individually wrapped snacks are needed such as cheese crackers, granola bars, Doritos, etc. Leave donations at the Reception Desk marked for Club 3:30. Thank you for supporting this ministry.

The mission field begins when we leave the front door of our church, so whatever we do, and wherever we go to serve God's people, we do it as missionaries of our church, a mission church for Christ.
