We are thrilled that you are considering visiting First Presbyterian Church! Below is some valuable information for you to consider prior to your visit.
First, pray that God will prepare your heart, spirit and mind to experience a new church environment. Changing churches and/or stepping out to try the church experience can be awkward or uncomfortable. Trust that God will settle your spirit and that you will be welcome as a visitor at First Presbyterian.
Secondly, select a worship service that will meet your needs. Remember, our Sunday school classes are conducted between 9:45 a.m.and 10:45 a.m. Although we offer a worship service during that time, we encourage you to consider one of the other services so that you may fully experience the range of fellowship and educational opportunities that await you here.
If you have chosen to attend either our 8:30 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. service, select a Sunday School class that sounds interesting to you! We have a variety of classes all in different stages of study. We have classes that are designed to meet the needs of a specific age group, as well as classes focused on designated areas of study. Once you arrive, please be sure to look for a member of our Hospitality and Welcoming Committee, so that you can introduce yourself. These volunteer men and women are positioned at the entrance of our church and are there to offer you a warm welcome and to provide any assistance or direction you may need in finding the sanctuary or a classroom. You will be able to identify them by the name badge that they wear.
